Head of Marketing | Canada
My name is Rasmus Fladberg, and I’ve been employed at Royal Unibrew since April 2020. I started my career in the company as International Brand Manager, with responsibility for our international brand portfolios, including beer, cider, ready-to-drink, energy drinks, and carbonated soft drinks.
From Denmark to Canada
In 2024, I was stationed in Toronto at Royal Unibrew Canada. A super exciting opportunity–both professionally, in the transition after Royal Unibrew’s acquisition of Amsterdam Brewery, and privately with my wife. In my current role as Head of Marketing, I’m responsible for marketing and developing strong brands as well as delivering results in close collaboration with the commercial teams and partners.
What I do
My daily life involves close collaboration with the commercial and hospitality team, with the aim of taking the Amsterdam beer and brewpubs brands a step further following Royal Unibrew’s acquisition in late 2022. I bring a marketing toolbox from my time at the head office in Denmark and aim to cement Amsterdam as “Toronto's Local Craft Hero”, through a strong and consistent brand experience and portfolio.
I also recently took on responsibility for all our own brands in Canada, including Faxe Beer.
What Makes My Job Exciting
What I find really exciting about my job is working with a broad range of products across different markets with very diverse market dynamics, cultures, routes to market, and opportunities for effective activation. This makes it both complex and incredibly rewarding to develop the business and brand positioning in each market.
In Canada, it's been exciting to work in the market and get a deeper understanding of how we turn strategy and plans into effective execution.
People and Culture
I truly value working with talented colleagues and collaborating with consumers and customers who expand my perspective and learning. Across diverse cultures and mindsets, we create results together while always having fun. I also really appreciate how down-to-earth everyone is–no one is above the team. Finally, being part of Royal Unibrew’s ambitious growth journey is a major source of motivation for me.
