At Royal Unibrew, we are actively reducing our CO₂ footprint with transportation playing a key role. Electrifying our distribution is a vital step in that journey. We are also optimizing our routes, exploring alternative modes of transport such as shipping and rail, and considering other fuels based on renewable resources.

Our route-to-market ensures that our broad, high-quality product portfolio reaches our customers efficiently, through a well-established distribution network. We use a direct distribution model in most of our multi-beverage markets, delivering products from warehouses directly to retail outlets, bars, restaurants, convenience stores, or customers' central warehouses. In multi-niche markets, we combine our own direct distribution with distribution partners and wholesalers.
In our international business segment, we sell directly to distributors, who handle in-market distribution.

We are committed to reducing CO₂ emissions across our entire value chain, with distribution currently accounting for roughly 20% of our carbon footprint. Our ambition is to achieve a 60% reduction in CO₂ emissions across our supply chain by 2030, including inbound and outbound transportation.
