The Impact of Our Raw Materials

We are committed to building a long-term sustainable business that positively impacts society and minimizes our environmental footprint, from raw materials to end consumption. We collaborate with stakeholders in the communities where we operate to reach our goals.

Our raw materials, including agriculture and fiber-based materials, and processing contribute to 23% of our total greenhouse gas emissions. This highlights the need for sustainable practices to protect biodiversity and ecosystems.

Water is our most important raw material, essential to both our production and cleaning activities. Although our production sites are not located in high water risk areas, ensuring access to clean water remains a priority.
We are therefore committed to sustainable water management.

Sourcing Responsibly

We a
spire to be among the leaders in the beverage industry and strive to reduce impacts and risks of our operations and products. As a company reliant on FLAG (Forest, Land, and Agriculture)-based raw materials, we are committed to zero deforestation by 2025 and sustainable agriculture by 2030. We prioritize suppliers who meet international standards and, where possible, apply regenerative practices.

With over 80% of our raw materials sourced from Europe, we reduce risk and strengthen compliance. In 2025, we will further strengthen our responsible procurement efforts and continue building transparent value chains with a strong focus on materials from high-risk regions. This includes expanding our due diligence processes and increasing our positive impact over time.

Commodity risks

Ensuring a stable supply of high-quality ingredients and packaging is vital for our beverage production. At the same time, managing commodity risks, particularly for raw materials like malt, sugar, hops, packaging, and energy, is critical.

We hedge these risks commercially and financially in line with our Commodity Risk Policy, aiming to minimize price fluctuations' impact on earnings and cash flow, hereby ensuring financial stability.
